Project Manager

Arco Project Managers are responsible for the overall successful completion and delivery of assigned projects on time and within budget.  This involves detailed planning and organization to effectively manage and coordinate between customers, other trades, subcontractors, and vendors as well as direct supervision of Arco’s assigned project team.  Ultimately representing Arco’s core values and interests to ensure the relationships with our customers and owners are ongoing for future business.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Intake project from estimating

  • Review project requirements and conduct pre-con with Arco team

  • Review contract

  • Review project schedule

  • Procurement of bid packages and issue of PO’s/Subcontracts

  • Oversee submittal process

  • Ensure materials are released to meet project schedule

  • Submit RFI’s in a timely manner

  • Monthly overall project budget tracking

  • Tracking and pricing of change orders over the life of the project

  • Attend jobsite meetings

  • Constant coordination with Arco’s project team to ensure progress, efficiency, and schedule

  • Communication with customer.  PM is the main point of contact between Arco and customers

  • Ensure jobsite safety

  • Oversee project closeout per specifications

Assistant Project Manager

Arco Assistant Project Managers role is to assist the assigned Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing out projects according to the project documents and schedule while keeping within budget.  APM is expected to have excellent communication, organization, and management skills.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong computer skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Review project from Estimating with PM

  • Create project startup folders

  • Assist PM in Procurement

  • Prepare Submittals

  • Generate and submit RFI’s

  • Attend pre-con meetings

  • Procurement of day to day general material orders generated by project Foreman

  • Project coordination with customer’s, vendor’s, and Arco assigned personnel

  • Assist Project Manager with change orders utilizing McCormick software

  • Prepare all project closeout documents per specifications

Estimator

Arco Estimators are responsible for preparing accurate estimates of commercial electrical projects per plans, specifications, addendums, and scope. Estimators at Arco utilize McCormick and DEP digital on screen estimating software to provide complete project take off’s and final estimates. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Intake and organize bid invitations for review

  • Organize bids by due date and keep updated on bid board

  • Attend Pre-Bid meetings as needed

  • Perform accurate take off’s per contract documents utilizing McCormick and on screen estimating software

  • Solicitate proposals/quotes from subcontractors/vendors and review for accuracy with contract documents

  • Assist project managers with change order pricing as needed

  • Communicate with GC’s/CM’s

  • Build and submit a final proposal with inclusions/exclusions on time

Foreman

Arco Foreman supervise and direct all onsite field activities for small to large scale commercial electrical projects.  In this role, a foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for field personnel in order to complete projects within specific guidelines which include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Complete understanding of commercial electrical project contract documents and process (scope of work, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, construction schedules)

  • Complete knowledge of NEC

  • Attend jobsite progress meetings

  • Professional communication/coordination with GC/CM and other trades

  • Communicate with Arco PM/APM

  • Layout per plans and specifications

  • Ordering/Organization of jobsite materials

  • Tracking and organization of jobsite tools and equipment

  • Directing/Training all onsite field personnel

  • Time Tracking of Onsite Field Personnel

  • Safety

Journeyman / Mechanic

NOW HIRING

Arco Journeyman/Mechanics have a minimum of 4 years commercial electrical experience and typically have successfully completed a 4 year electrical apprenticeship program.  In this role, a journeyman/mechanic will be able to carry out day to day onsite installation tasks per direction of Foreman while assisting apprentices.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently install electrical components of the project per plans and specifications

  • Understanding of the NEC

  • Assist foreman in material tracking

  • Teaching and training of apprentices

  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment

  • Interact customers and other trades in a professional manner

  • Follow all project safety requirements

Apprentice

NOW HIRING

Arco Apprentices enroll and attend a 4 year apprenticeship program through Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) while working full time on Arco jobsites.  As you progress through the apprenticeship program the combination of field and classroom experience will provide you the experience needed to excel in the electrical industry.  The classroom instruction is two nights a week running from September to April.  Arco offers guaranteed raises to apprentice every semester as the progress through the apprenticeship program.  Tasks and responsibilities will increase as you progress through the apprenticeship and gain experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Obtain tools per list provided upon hire

  • Arrive at jobsite on time ready to work

  • Assist foreman with daily startup task (ie. unlock gang box, sea can, ladders, etc.)

  • Assist with material and tool organization

  • Assist with daily cleanup

  • Perform and understand task as directed by foreman

  • Learn how to bend conduit

  • Develop an understanding of electrical material

  • Learn and understand how to read plans

  • Be aware and follow project safety requirements
